Specifications for THE MP-800 MOUNTED PATROL HELMET

SHELL
The shell is constructed of high density Tenntex Thermo Composite utilizing high pressure compression molding for increased strength while maintaining a lightweight helmet. Shell edge has a finished trim made of steel core extruded neoprene rubber. The standard visor is a removable snap-on molded plastic visor. Complete helmet weight will not exceed 2 lbs.

LINER
The impact liner is constructed of expanded polystyrene (EPS). Liner will have a minimum thickness of 3/4” in test plane area to provide maximum impact energy attenuation. The fit pad is removable for hand washing. The vented brushed nylon material of the fit pad provides comfort and maximum wicking of perspiration away from the user’s head to allow for the most cooling.

VENTILATION SYSTEM
The helmet will have four 1/2” holes spaced on the crown area covered with metal screen that introduce cooling air into the inner fit pad area.

SIZES
Size Range 6 3/4” to 8 1/8”. Interior fit pad is sized XS 6 3/4”-6 7/8”, S 7”-7 1/8”, M 7 1/4”, L 7 3/8”-7 1/2”, XL 7 5/8”-7 7/8”, XXL 8”-8 1/8”.

RETENTION SYSTEM
The retention system is included with a four-point “Y” harness sewn of black vinyl. The chin strap is made of black tubular nylon webbing double bar tacked in critical areas. Chin strap is equipped with all metal working parts Quick Release Buckle for secure fastening that meets or exceeds industry standards. The Quick Release Buckle allows fast entrance or exit from the helmet even when gloves are worn.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
The MP-800 is designed to accept an integral 6 1/2” Lexan tactical face shield. Shield will fit directly to sides of helmet with thumb screw-mounting hardware specially designed for this purpose. NOT FOR MOTOR VEHICLE USE (REFER TO SD-600 MODEL).
